Sapporo Art Museum

The Sapporo City Museum of Art sits inside Art Park, reached by bus from Makomanai Station. Exhibitions change themes, ranging from shows tied to Hokkaido to displays of Tsuguharu Fujita and Shigeru Mizuki, and the courtyard holds Chiya Fujiwara's "Ship of the Sun." From platform 2 at Makomanai Station, the Takino Line bus stops at Art Park Entrance. The chairs and tables next to the entrance are a free rest area, and the grounds are large enough that first-time visitors have trouble finding the museum itself.
