Maruyama Park

Maruyama Park in Sapporo is a large city park next to Hokkaido Shrine. In spring, sections of the park hold clusters of cherry trees, and in summer you walk under the shade of tall trees. The park connects to Hokkaido Shrine, so it is easy to walk through both together. In winter the snow-covered paths can be slippery, and outside the blooming season there is less to see.
