Unawa is a freshwater eel restaurant located a short distance from Sakae Station in Nagoya, north of the Chubu Mirai Tower. Its signature dish, hitsumabushi, is eaten by mixing the eel with wasabi, green onion, and shredded seaweed, and finishing it with ochazuke. On a visit at 11 a.m., the food arrived in about 15 minutes. Walk-ins are sometimes seated without a reservation, and the restaurant also has clam soup and baby chairs.
