Atsuta Houraiken Matsuzakaya is on the 10th floor of Matsuzakaya Nagoya in Sakae, Naka Ward, Nagoya, and serves hitsumabushi, a Nagoya-style grilled eel over rice. The eel and rice are divided into four portions, eaten plain, with scallions, seaweed and wasabi, or with warm tea poured over as ochazuke. After registering for a table, staff give a number and an estimated entry time, so the wait of over an hour can be spent in the department store or a cafe. When it is crowded, the hall is unsettled and loud.
