Hitsumabushi Ichiyou is a Japanese restaurant in Nagoya that serves hitsumabushi, a grilled eel rice dish. The eel is grilled crisp on the outside and soft inside, served with wasabi and Hida sansho, or eaten ochazuke-style with broth poured over it. All seats are private rooms, reservations are available through Tabelog or by phone, and payment is made at the table. The hitsumabushi set comes with a generous portion of rice, which is a lot for light eaters.
