Mokpo Modern History Museum Hall 1

Mokpo Modern History Museum Hall 1 is a museum in Mokpo that displays the city's modern history from the port-opening period through the Japanese colonial period. It occupies the former Japanese consulate building, and its exhibits include miniature models of Mokpo and objects used in the past. A ticket bought at Hall 1 also covers Hall 2, which is about a five-minute walk away. An air-raid shelter built during the Japanese colonial period remains behind the building.
