Gohado Observatory

Gohado Observatory is a five-story tower on the coast of Mokpo. The building is stacked in a grid pattern with models of 13 panokseon ships, commemorating the 106 days Yi Sun-sin stayed there after the Battle of Myeongnyang. The first floor holds a cafe, and floors two through four hold exhibition rooms on panokseon ships, Yi Sun-sin, and Mokpo. Yudalsan and Mokpo Port can be seen from above, and the walk from the cable car boarding point to the observatory is 500 to 1,000 meters.
