Yamamichaya

Yamamichaya is a Japanese regional restaurant inside Josaien at Kumamoto Castle, serving akagyudon and horse meat dishes. The akagyudon comes with wasabi or a soy-based sauce, and the horse meat and akagyu are grilled over a large hearth. The gyudon set includes a miso soup that is not salty. There can be a wait, so allow fifteen minutes to an hour before entering.
