Kohikobo is an old-style kissaten near the bus stop in front of Kinkaku-ji in Kyoto. It serves siphon coffee, toast, pancakes and matcha ice cream, and brews dark-roast, Irish and Vienna coffee by hand, with honey bread and matcha latte also on the menu. An elderly couple runs the place, and the small interior shows signs of age with a handwritten menu board. The pancakes are not the fluffy style and are plain.
