Tomo is a small dining spot under the railway tracks in Kyoto that serves wine and creative dishes. Its large tasting menu runs through seven appetizers and one main, with natural wine and house-made non-alcoholic drinks poured alongside. Chef Tomo handles the decor, tableware, and cooking alone, and the restaurant stays open from lunch onward. There are only three tables, so walking in without a reservation is difficult.
