Kotoku-in is a 10- to 15-minute walk from Hase Station in Kamakura, where a bronze Great Buddha over 11 meters tall stands. Visitors can go inside the Buddha, and small souvenir shops are nearby. Admission is cash only, and the Buddha comes into view shortly after entering. Beyond the Buddha, there is not much else to see.
