Hasedera is a temple with a Japanese garden and Buddhist statues, about a five-minute walk from Enoden Hase Station. The grounds hold Hentai-kutsu and small statues, and a viewing platform looks down over the Kamakura coast and town. Founded in 736, the temple enshrines a 9.18-meter eleven-faced Kannon statue, and a visit including the museum takes about one hour, with photography of the main image prohibited. During hydrangea season, crowds are heavy enough that the hydrangea path can draw waits of up to four hours.
