Shikisai no Oka is a 150,000-square-meter flower garden in Biei, Hokkaido, with flowers planted in rows along a sloped hill. Tulips, lavender, and cosmos bloom there, and visitors can tour the grounds by a tractor converted into a sightseeing vehicle or by personal cart. The flowers have distinct blooming periods from July to September, and in winter snowmobiles run on the snowfield. There is no shade in summer, so it is hot.
