Noboribetsu Jigokudani Valley

Noboribetsu Jigokudani Valley is a sulfur-steam valley in Noboribetsu, within a 10-minute walk of the hot spring inn street. From the boardwalk, you can see sulfur emerging and water flowing through the valley. The whole valley takes 1 to 2 hours to walk, and a trail continues to Oyunuma Pond. In winter, many people slip on the snow-covered stairs, so crampons are needed.
