Furano

Furano is a day-trip destination from Biei, centered on the small Furano Station, the terminus of trains from Asahikawa. The trains that arrive and depart are single-car one-man cars, with the driver handling both operation and fare collection. Cars can be rented from Toyota and JR rental offices next to the station, and the bus terminal in front of the station is also available. Rain or typhoon damage can reduce or halt train service.
