Hachiman-zaka is a straight uphill sight in Hakodate's Motomachi district that links the base of Mount Hakodate with the harbor. From the top of the slope, the view looks out over the sea, the former ferry pier, and the Seikan Ferry Memorial Ship Mashu-maru. It is less than a ten-minute walk from the Akarenga warehouses and sits on the route to the Mount Hakodate ropeway. The road carries vehicle traffic, so watch for cars when taking photos.
