Karashi Mentaiko | Shimamoto Hakataekimaeten

Shimamoto Hakata Ekimae is a souvenir shop in Fukuoka, in front of Hakata Station, selling domestic mentaiko and mentaiko mayonnaise. Its main products are domestic mentaiko and mentaiko mayonnaise, and the shop also holds hands-on sessions where freshly made mentaiko is eaten with sotbap. In the hands-on session, participants watch a video on the production process and history of mentaiko, then eat freshly made mentaiko with sotbap boiled for about 30 minutes and dashima cha-zuke. The hands-on session requires advance reservation.
