Pungcheon Jangeo Maeul is an eel restaurant in the eating alley at the Bukhansan entrance in Ui-dong, Seoul, grilling eel and pork galbi over charcoal. Staff grill the salt-seasoned eel at the table, while the pork galbi arrives partly cooked and needs a short finish on the fire. The restaurant sits at the foot of the mountain, with a large dining area and parking lot, and hikers fill it at weekend lunch. Charcoal heat makes the indoor space warm.
