Pitti Palace in Florence is a site where visitors see a Medici palace and an art museum together. It combines the palace museum, a ceramics display, and the Boboli Gardens in one visit. Luca Pitti began building the residence in 1458, the Medici family took it over in the 1560s, and it became state property in 1919. The exterior is plain, unlike the ornate ceiling frescoes inside.
