Rosa dei Lanchi is an open-air gallery of outdoor sculpture in front of the Palazzo Vecchio in Florence's Piazza della Signoria. Fifteen sculptures are displayed under three large arches, including the Rape of Polyxena and Perseus with the Head of Medusa. The space was built in 1376 by Cione and Talenti, and the Rape of Polyxena, showing four figures, can be seen together with the Fountain of Neptune. The details and historical meaning of the works are best understood with a guide's explanation.
