Basilica di San Miniato

San Miniato al Monte is a church site in Florence on a hill higher than Piazzale Michelangelo. It looks down over the Duomo, Santa Croce, Piazza della Signoria and the city of Florence, so you can take in both sunset and night views. The church interior is closed for restoration work, and you can sit on benches in the garden area or buy soap, cosmetics and ointments at the pharmacy. Public transport access is not good.
