Hamacho Park is a 4.6-hectare park on the Sumida River, directly in front of Hamacho Station in Tokyo. It has a lawn plaza, a play area with slides and swings, and a day-camping ground. The park was developed in 1929 as part of reconstruction after the Great Kanto Earthquake, on the former site of the Hosokawa family residence. In spring, Somei Yoshino and weeping cherry trees bloom and the park fills with flower-viewing visitors.
