Xôi Yến

Soyen is a local restaurant in Hoan Kiem, Hanoi, reachable on foot, serving turmeric, white, and corn sticky rice with toppings such as pork, chicken, and egg. Its signature dish, xoi xeo, pairs dense, chewy sticky rice mixed with toppings and a side of pickled cucumber. Even when the line outside is long, you can walk straight in or take a seat on the second floor and order there, and the second floor is relatively quiet. The sticky rice is dry throughout and takes time to eat, and the soy milk is strongly sweet.
