Kyo Ramen is a Japanese ramen shop in the alleys of Yeonnam, Hongdae, serving tonkotsu ramen, aburasoba and tsukemen. The signature Kyo Ramen comes with a rich, sticky broth that is not heavy on pork bone aroma, topped with chashu, a whole egg, menma, wood ear mushroom and scallion, and the noodles can be ordered firm. Orders are placed first at a kiosk, then customers wait outside and enter in the order they are called; a visit at 1:30 p.m. on a weekend involved a wait of about 20 minutes. Even 20 minutes before opening, eight people were standing in line, so a wait is common.
