Unagiwa

Unagiwa is a freshwater eel restaurant three minutes on foot from Exit 7 of Yeoksam Station. It serves charcoal-grilled eel over rice and hitsumabushi, with the eel grilled over direct heat so the outside is crisp and the inside moist. The hitsumabushi is eaten three ways: as is, with toppings, and with broth poured over it. The eel has almost no fishy taste and the tare sauce is not overly sweet.
