Minatoya

Minatoya is a Japanese restaurant in Ameyoko Market near Ueno Station that serves seafood rice bowls and takoyaki. The kaisendon comes topped with sea urchin, salmon and salmon roe, and the takoyaki is finished with sauce, mayonnaise and katsuobushi. The takoyaki is grilled from before the 11 a.m. opening, so customers wait 10 to 15 minutes at the door and receive it as soon as the shop opens. Hygiene management in the shop and the cooking area is lacking.
