Hansando

Hansando is reached by boat from Tongyeong and is a historical site tied to Admiral Yi Sun-sin's Battle of Hansando and Jeseungdang. Jeseungdang, in front of the harbor, is where Admiral Yi Sun-sin established the headquarters of the Three Provinces Naval Force. Bringing a car allows you to follow the island's simple roads across a bridge to Chubongdo and see both in half a day. From Jindu dock to near Jeseungdang takes 12 minutes by car, so without a car seeing the area requires physical stamina for walking.
