Dongporu stands at the top of Dongpirang Hill in Tongyeong. It was a defensive pavilion built as part of Tongjeyeong, the Joseon-era naval command established by Admiral Yi Sun-sin, and offers views of downtown Tongyeong and Ganguan, including night views. The short uphill walk from Dongpirang takes about 10 minutes, and the breeze makes the pavilion a place to pause. The pavilion, surrounded by low stone walls and flags, can be visited as part of an evening walk.
