The National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo sits up a hill from Takebashi Station, next to the Science and Technology Museum. Its collection covers Japanese paintings from the early 20th century through 19th-century Japanese prints, with a large share given to contemporary art. Exhibitions are divided into timed and permanent shows, and works are rotated from time to time. It does not suit visitors looking for beautiful art rather than contemporary work.
