Meiji Jingu Gaien is a tourist attraction along a ginkgo-lined avenue between Jingumae Station and Aoyama-Itchome Station. The ginkgo trees are planted closely and pruned to keep their branches long and narrow, turning yellow in late November. During the autumn foliage season, part of the road is closed to traffic for photography. The area is crowded even on weekday afternoons.
