Akasaka Gosho in Tokyo is a heritage building with a European neo-Baroque palace used to receive state guests; enter through the west gate from Exit 1 of Yotsuya Station. The main building contains European frescoes, Shim Su-gwan ceramics, and Japanese paintings, while the Japanese-style annex Yushintei includes rooms where tea and meals were served and a garden. Check the website for the public schedule and make a reservation before visiting, then enter through a baggage inspection station. Photography is prohibited inside the main building, and security screening includes requiring visitors to drink water themselves.
