Shitennoji is a Buddhist temple in Osaka that is over 1,500 years old, located near Abeno Harukas and Shinsekai. Prince Shotoku founded the temple, and monks and craftsmen from Baekje built it. On the 21st and 22nd of each month, a flea market sells dishes, clothing, antiques, and handicrafts. The main hall and five-story pagoda are in the inner precinct and require no reservation, and the pagoda stairs are narrow and steep, with only small windows at the top for looking outside.
