Sun Shandong Jia Chang Mian is a noodle shop across from the Taichung Confucius Temple, on the edge of the Yizhong commercial district. It serves beef noodles and zhajiang noodles made from thick noodles pulled to order. The beef noodles come with a clear, mildly sweet broth and chewy beef, while the zhajiang noodles are mixed with a meat sauce and crisp cucumber strips. A single bowl is large enough for two people to share, which makes it a lot for one person to finish alone.
