Dongyin Fisherman is a Taiwanese restaurant next to First Securities in Taichung that serves seafood dishes such as squid, clams, and sea bream. The kitchen keeps seasoning light to let the ingredients carry the flavor, and the menu includes salted cabbage stir-fried squid, Matsu Laojiu noodle soup, and winter melon sauce steamed fish. The owner is a professional fisherman, and the restaurant takes its name from Dongyin Island, his favorite fishing spot. Portions are small.
