Mongsanpo Beach in Taean has a wide stretch of sand with few rocks or hills. At low tide, visitors can dig for jackknife clams, surf clams, venus clams, Manila clams, and cockles, and the beach also supports swimming and auto camping. After parking in the lot, it is about a five-minute walk to the beach, the shop closes at 23:00, and the restrooms are well maintained. The auto camping area draws enough people that it is hard to look at the sea quietly.
