New Mexican Charcoal Barbecue is a chicken-and-beer restaurant in Suyu 2-dong, Gangbuk-gu, Seoul, near Gwangsan Intersection, serving barbecue chicken grilled over charcoal. Ordering the charcoal barbecue with fat drained off or the boneless seasoned chicken brings a basic spread of salad, dried snacks, and fish cake soup. In summer the place was busy enough that people waited for seats, and it has recently expanded to a larger space. The parking lot behind the building is always full, so bringing a car makes parking difficult.
