Sinpungnu Pavilion

Sinpungnu stands in front of Hwaseong Haenggung in Haenggung-dong, Suwon, and served as the main gate of Hwaseong Haenggung. The two-story pavilion has a gate on its lower level and was first called Jinnamnu before it was renamed in 1795 for the sixtieth-birthday banquet of Lady Hyegyeong Hong. It can be seen from outside without buying a ticket. The Jangyongyeong guard procession is held every Sunday at 2 p.m. from April to June, and the event includes a procession with guns and a firing demonstration.
