Pungmi Tondak

Pungmi Tongdak in Suncheon's Yeonhyang-dong serves fried chicken and chicken gizzards, and sits near Suncheonman National Garden. Its signature dish is garlic fried chicken, a crispy-coated chicken topped with a pungent garlic sauce and eaten with aged kimchi or kimchi. Staff tear the chicken apart in front of customers so it is ready to eat, and on weekend afternoons orders can come out within 15 minutes. Visits on weekends and holidays involve a wait of 45 to 50 minutes to get in.
