Yangsando Munjeongjeom is in the basement level of Munjeong-dong in Songpa-gu, Seoul, and serves Japanese-style hitsumabushi and freshwater eel over rice. The rice bowl comes with a whole eel, ocha broth on the side, and wasabi, gimgaru, and scallions to mix in. Noodles and a small steamed egg are served alongside, and the main branch is in Busan. When the restaurant fills up there is a wait, and eel that is badly charred leaves a burnt taste that lingers for tens of minutes after the meal.
