Somunnan Gopchang

Somanan Gopchang is a longtime restaurant inside Seokchon Market in Songpa-gu, Seoul, serving sundae guk, head meat, and vegetable gopchang. The sundae guk comes in a portion close to two servings elsewhere, the head meat is chewy, and the gopchang is stir-fried without added oil. The shop has operated in Seokchon Market since the days when Garak Siyeong Apartment stood there. It is a old-style eatery with many soju drinkers, so it is not a place for a quiet meal.
