Handonchon Saeng Samgyeopsal

Handonchon Saengsamgyeopsal is a Seoul restaurant that grills raw samgyeopsal (pork belly) over charcoal. It serves only female pigs, and the pork belly is placed on the grill with kimchi and bean sprouts. The scallion salad is mixed fresh often, and egg custard and a large bowl of kimchi stew are also served; ramen noodles can be added to the kimchi stew. One owner handles both the kitchen and the dining area, so orders take a long time when the restaurant is crowded or when you arrive late, and the pork belly may be sold out.
