Echigen

Kushikatsu Echigen is a bar-style shop in Osaka with around ten seats that serves kushikatsu and fried skewers. The skewers come with a thin batter and include chicken, squid, samgyeopsal (pork belly), and vegetables such as lotus root and eggplant. The same owner has run the shop since 1991, and orders are placed by writing the menu number on paper and handing it in. The interior is small, and the nature of a fried-food shop can make it uncomfortable for those sensitive about hygiene.
