Kyōto Denim is a souvenir shop a five-minute walk from Kyoto Station that sells bags, pouches, and daruma dyed with traditional hand-drawn yuzen on denim. It also offers DENIGUMA made from denim scraps left over from cutting, and a custom service where customers bring their own denim to have patterns applied. Each item is hand-dyed one at a time by an artisan, so pieces with the same design differ slightly. In the denim coaster dyeing workshop, participants learn how traditional kimono craft is applied to denim, and prices run on the higher side.
