Heungcheonsa is a Buddhist temple in Seongbuk-dong, next to Jeongneung, built by King Taejo of Joseon to honor Queen Sindeok. It sits at the foot of Bugaksan and is a large temple with deep ties to Jeongneung. The temple holds several cultural heritage items, including a seated Cheonsu Gwaneum Bosal statue and Buddhist paintings, as well as a Jijang Bosal triad and Siwang in Myeongbujeon. Though surrounded by apartments and residential streets, the temple grounds are quiet and secluded.
