Kyo Shogoin Hayaokitei Udon

Kyo Shogoin Hayaokitei Udon is an udon shop next to a noodle factory in the Shogoin area of Kyoto, within walking distance of Keihan Jingu-Marutamachi Station. It serves shrimp tempura udon, curry udon, and egg udon, and operates directly under the noodle factory. The shop opens at 6 a.m., and customers order at a small window in the back kitchen and pay when they receive their food. The noodles are thin and soft, with little chewiness.
