Lao Shan Dong Homemade Noodles

Lao Shandong Homemade Noodles is a Chinese noodle shop in the basement food court of a building on Ximending's main street in Wanhua District, Taipei, serving beef noodles and spicy noodles. Its signature dishes are san bao mian, which combines meat, tendon and offal, and wide noodles shaped like sujebi (hand-torn dough soup). The shop has been run by the same family for three generations since 1949 and takes orders in advance, so the line moves quickly even when it is long. Payment is cash only, with no cards accepted.
