Mishima Tei Honten is a sukiyaki restaurant in Kyoto that has operated since 1973. The meat is grilled with sugar first, then dipped in egg yolk in the Kyoto style of sukiyaki. Reservations are difficult to secure, and staff cook the vegetables and meat in order at the table and indicate when to eat. The sweetness is stronger than Korean-style sukiyaki.
