Hiroshima Castle is a castle site in Hiroshima where you can see moats and a wooden keep near the Atomic Bomb Dome. Walking around the castle along the moats leads to the keep's observation deck, which looks down over central Hiroshima. The castle buildings collapsed in the 1945 atomic bombing and were rebuilt from 1958 onward, and inside are Hiroshima history exhibits and hands-on experiences with samurai armor and swords. Interior viewing is currently limited because of construction on the keep.
