Wat Suan Dok is a 14th-century Buddhist temple on Suthep Road, west of Chiang Mai Old Town. Its main features are a roughly 48-metre golden bell-shaped chedi, architecture mixing Sri Lankan and Lanna styles, and a cluster of small white stupas. Inside the main hall, only tourists pay an entrance fee, while the exterior can be viewed for free, and it is quiet at sunset. Exterior renovation work is underway.
