Jinmandu is a small Chinese restaurant in Hongdae that serves steamed mandu, pan-fried mandu, dim sum, and dongpo pork. It sits underground on the Hongdae hill, a five-minute walk from Exit 6 of Hongdaeipgu Station. Mandu such as jjenggyeo, ssanggu, and kkuoteo are pleated and then steamed or grilled to order, six to a plate. Warm jasmine tea is brewed at the table in a teapot, and the mandu arrive one plate at a time in the order they are eaten; on Saturday afternoons about four parties may be waiting, with no separate waiting system.
